Dear Parents/Guardians

 

We hope you all enjoyed your break over Christmas/New Year and are looking forward to supporting the children once again through their busy training sessions and matches.  If you have any doubt regarding sessions being cancelled or matches postponed because of weather conditions please do not hesitate to contact your manager (all telephone numbers can be found in your Members Handbook).

 Once again our first fundraiser of the year is our Race Night (adults only), which will be held on a Saturday night this year, the 23rd February 2008 at The Blue Bell, Riverhead, Driffield, with the first race starting at 7.30pm.  The doors will be open at 7.00pm.  We hope to see more support from parents this year as the event last year was very poorly attended.   *ENTRANCE IS FREE*  Your managers will also have extra race sheets with them at training sessions between now and the 23rd and you can pick your horse and place your bet for £2.00 each. We are also looking for sponsors for each race at a price of £25.00 per race – if you know of a company/business etc who may be interested in supporting the club through sponsoring a race please let your manager/coach know.  Thank you.

 A DATE FOR YOUR CALENDAR - our football tournament this year will be run over the weekend of Saturday, 7th and Sunday, 8th June at Allotment Lane.  Further details will follow.  At least two Volunteers will be required from each team please.

 Anyone wishing to do teas/coffees etc when your team play at home please contact Pat on 217599 for further details.  A cup of tea is always welcome from the away teams!  All monies received are paid back into club funds.

Orders for jackets and other items can still be obtained throughout the rest of the season.  Any questions or queries please contact Helen McNair on 254462.

 The goalkeeping course has now come to an end and our thanks go to Steve Riley for running this.  Steve has taken over the running of the Driffield Cougars Under 12s – good luck for the rest of the season to Steve and the Cougars team.

 Any part-paid fees are due to be paid by the 31st January 2008 please arrange for payments to be given to your manager.
